Welcome!

I believe that government must be efficient and responsive.  I want to be a part of that decision-making and work for the people who don’t have a “voice.”  Because I teach social studies, it gives me the opportunity to see the indifference many of my students have toward their elected officials. This is caused by the feeling their vote does not make a difference. I believe that is partly due to the fact “career” politicians often become distant and indifferent to most voters.  My opponent has been in office for almost 20 years and has become comfortable with very little accountability. Political office should not become a career.

In general, elected officials answer to those who have power and money. I want to be elected to prove to my students and other voters that is not always the case. The voters in Delmar, Laurel, and Bethel deserve a choice of someone who is eager and willing to answer the phone, to listen and to help constituents.
